Efficient cooling especially for heavy-duty applications

REO NTT resistors are specially developed, produced and certified for railway and heavy-duty applications. REO resistors in air- or water-cooled design are used in railway technology in various functions, e.g. as damping resistors or charging/discharging resistors. These resistors are subject to special requirements due to their area of application. Maximum functional reliability and service life combined with extreme resistance to adverse environmental conditions are therefore absolutely essential. The specially developed winding technology allows a higher dielectric strength due to the spatial separation of the wires used. Due to the profile design, protection classes up to IP66 can be achieved. The modular design ensures that higher outputs can be achieved by combining several resistors. Liquid-cooled resistors from REO are available in power ratings of up to 60 kW, making them significantly smaller than conventional air-cooled resistors.
