100 years of innovation and quality
Since its foundation in 1925, REO has stood for technical excellence, innovative strength and reliable quality. What once began as a small manufactory for lighting solutions in Berlin under the motto ‘Reklame Erster Ordnung’ (First Order Advertising) has developed over the decades into a leading manufacturer of inductive, resistive and electronic components as well as customised complete solutions.
Over the course of a century, REO has continued to develop – technologically, structurally and geographically. From its beginnings in advertising technology and cinema lighting, the first products for industry quickly emerged. With increasing electrification and the advent of modern technologies, REO opened up more and more new markets and areas of application. The company’s headquarters were relocated from Berlin to Solingen after the Second World War and in the decades that followed, the company not only advanced the technological development of its products, but also expanded its international presence with sales offices in Europe, North America and Asia.
Thanks to 100 years of experience and expertise in the development and production of products to the highest quality standards, REO is now a preferred partner for numerous industries and sectors worldwide. Behind this success is not only a product portfolio of the highest quality, but above all a corporate culture that is characterised by the cohesion, passion and innovative spirit of its people, the REO family.

A brief introduction to REO AG
REO develops and produces components and system solutions for various product categories and divisions at five locations in Germany:
Solingen
At Reo’s headquarters, the focus is on testing technology and electronics. Testing technology encompasses the development and manufacture of testing devices that are used in industrial test fields, development laboratories, institutes, schools and universities, for example. In electronics, the focus is on the development and production of controllers and accessories for automation technology under the brand name REOVIB.
