Passive Current Transformer Series In-I

Thanks to the materials selected, the REO pulse current transformers in the IN-I series can display current with high accuracy and in the appropriate transformation ratio – making them particularly suitable for power measurement, current monitoring and evaluation and for use in solar inverters. They are also ideal for use in active filters, as they can be designed to measure current peaks. The primary current is measured via a current conductor that runs through the closed toroid. The magnetic field generated by the current flow through the conductor is absorbed by the toroidal core and generates a smaller current for measuring purposes according to the transformation ratio of the secondary winding. This method reduces a high measuring current to a much smaller current and also provides safe galvanic isolation from the primary circuit.
