Frequency converter REOVIB MFS 368

IP54 or IP20 FREQUENCY CONVERTER REOVIB MFS 368 More technology in the same design – that’s the motto of the new REOVIB MFS 368. The new devices consume up to 45 % less power and therefore not only deliver a better energy balance, but also ensure a reduction in operating costs. This is achieved by compensating for reactive power. The lower energy consumption has an environmentally friendly effect by reducing CO₂ emissions. In addition, the frequency inverters for vibratory conveyor technology boast a wide input voltage range of 99 V to 264 V with a constant output voltage of max. 205 V. They also offer the option of operating the vibratory conveyor at an optimum vibration frequency for the material being conveyed, making it completely independent of the frequency of the supplying electrical network. The device can therefore be used anywhere in the world. Where previously several different conveyors or magnets were required, one REOVIB MFS 368 is now sufficient. In addition, it is possible to automatically determine the resonance frequency of the oscillation system and to control the oscillation amplitude to constant values using the ACC control method developed by REO. The advantage here is that the conveyor automatically operates at the optimum conveying capacity regardless of the load or mechanical setting. This means that no time-consuming adjustment of the conveyor is necessary. The new REOVIB MFS 368 also ensures optimum and maximum conveyor performance at all times, e.g. with ageing springs, changing mechanical loads or voltage fluctuations. The new inverter has an integrated active mains filter, which saves additional costs for an external mains filter and reduces power consumption, as well as an LCD display with full text display. An optional temperature sensor for magnets can be connected, which ensures that there are no failures due to defective magnets. This increases the operational reliability of the systems. The devices can be optionally equipped with fieldbus interfaces and are available in versions with UL/CSA certification. This enables uncomplicated use in systems in the USA and Canada without any effort or testing. The devices in the REOVIB MFS 368 series are available with a maximum output current of 3 A, 6 A, 8 A and as IP20 switch cabinet installation versions as well as IP54 housing versions. The IP54 enclosures can be supplied with various connection options: Input cable/output cable Input cable/output socket Completely pluggable with input plug, output socket and sensor and actuator connectors Advantages Reduction of harmonics and thus mains perturbations energy efficiency through reactive power compensation active power is taken from the supply network output voltage of 205 V with an input voltage range from 99 V to 264 V LCD display with full text menu Short circuit detection output current limitation possibility (as an option) of connecting an external thermal contact for temperature monitoring of the magnets extra 24 V valve outlet as an option Interchangeable fieldbus interface The communication interface can be configured according to your own requirements Typical applications Conveyor & assembly automation, sorting systems Technical specification Input voltage 99 V … 264 V Mains frequency 50 / 60 Hz +/- 3 Hz Output voltage 0…205 V Output current max. 3 A / 6 A / 8 A Vibration frequency 20 … 140 Hz *¹ Setpoint setting LCD Display, 0 … 10 V, 0 (4) … 20 mA Status signal Relay changer 24 V, 1A Ready signal Relay changer 24 V, 1A Ext. Thyristor controllers of the REOTRON MDW series (3 controlled phases) are modern microprocessor-controlled devices with integrated measuring devices for the actual values of voltage and current transformers. Outputs (actual value monitor) with 0…+10V, DC are available for processing the actual values in external system components. Communication with the devices can take place via analog interfaces 0… +10 V, DC, 0(4)… 20 mA, potentiometers or field bus systems Profibus-DP, CAN bus, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, ProfiNet and EtherCAT, thus enabling integration into existing bus systems. The devices can be adapted to the respective load conditions via internally adjustable parameters Umax, Imax, Pmax as well as ramp-up ramp and ramp-down ramp. The REOTRON MDW 700 thyristor controllers are designed as switch cabinet installation devices with protection class IP 20 for mounting on a mounting plate.
